The Riot Grrrls grew up …

LOUD WOMEN showcases women-fronted and all-women punk, rock and, riot grrrl pop bands:

and became LOUD WOMEN

LOUD WOMEN showcases women-fronted and all-women punk, rock and, riot grrrl pop bands: such as The Wimmins’ Institute, Grace Petrie, Debbie’s Smith’s Blindness, The Ethical Debating Society, Fight Rosa Fight, and Argonaut. The nights are packing out venues in North and South London, plus events are coming up in Newport, Oxford, Leeds – a very welcome sight at a time when so many live music venues are struggling to stay open.

The LOUD WOMEN Facebook group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/loudwomen/) is expanding in numbers by the hour, and organiser Cassie Fox’s inbox is overflowing with new bands wanting to play, as well as offers to get involved and help run events from like-minded women who love music.

LOUD WOMEN recognises that men are feminists too – the attitude is not gender-specific. LOUD WOMEN prides itself on offering brand new bands a chance of a first gig: hotly-tipped Dream Nails played their first gig at the very first LOUD WOMEN show, and are now favorites on the regular rosta.
